Just may as well let all the"to big to fail corporations", fall! I've been burnt out of all of the mega corporations for decades. Let the mom and pop shops do their competitive work. I rather be small and profitable that too be to over see. Hands on ownership is the best formula for sustainable success. Allow the employees to become interested, invested co owners. Owners need to work right along with their employees instead of sitting in their offices, pretending to be the all wise or making deals on the golf course.
Problem is, Russell Stover isn't failing, they're thriving. They didn't do this to stay profitable, they were profitable. They did it to squeeze out MORE profits.

As for my experience, I was in a senior position at a Fortune 500 manufacturing corporation, I'm now on Social Security.
I know how corporations work. The one I worked for, despite being the number ONE in its industry, closed profitable plants in the US and shifted to Chinese PRISON labor. In addition those execs above me risk the lives of customers to avoid bad press that would have hurt their stock options that were about to mature. That's when I decided to leave.
