One thing I’ve enjoyed most about the work I’ve been doing with this newsletter—work that your support makes possible—is the way the freedom I have allows me to speak directly to my audience and sources.
That’s been evident in the many calls I’ve made on social media for people to share their stories about working, their politics, and more.
Now I’m going to take that interaction to a new level, working with Callin, a new podcasting app that allows audience participation.
If you have an iPhone, you can download the app—Android users will have to wait—and join the conversation. This will complement and add to the work on these pieces, giving sources a new outlet to tell their stories and an audio record of the conversations.
This won’t affect your newsletter experience other than the audio being linked to, and the stories you’ve come to expect will continue to be published on a regular basis. But for those who can, I hope you’ll join me over at Callin.
I’ll be recording my first episode, live, this afternoon, with Brandon Sutton from the Discourse podcast to talk about Flat Earth conspiracy theories and the Massachusetts Renaissance Faire, among other topics. I’ll link the audio, which you can listen to after the fact without the app, in a future newsletter.
Thanks for continuing to support my work. Next up in the newsletter: more stories of worker hell.
